About Me And My Goal!

About Me

Hi, I'm Alison May the creator of Dreaming To Doing and a full-on behaviour change geek. I have a degree in Psychology, an MSc in Health Psychology and I've worked as an NHS Health Coach...oh and I'm a major oversharer!
My life quest is to turn intention into action. I want to solve the biggest problem in the world, that is, why do we set goals like "I want to lose weight" or "launch my business", but then eat a bunch of cake and binge on Netflix all weekend?! Even though cake and Netflix are great, I really believe that life is too short and too wonderful to not at least try and go after your dreams.

I'm not an action taker all the time, every time, but the one thing that has got my lazy arse off the couch is sharing my goals and a making a public commitment that I will achieve them. When I keep my goals to myself, I can let myself down over and over again. But... when I tell my friends/family/workmates, I am accountable for my actions and I don't want to disappoint them. I hope my mugs help you tell your world about your goal too.

In my quest to help you (and myself, who I am kidding?!), I share my own experience, find the best information, strategy and tactics from other experts, make personalised goal mugs and provide a personalised accountability and support service.

My Goal

This year my personal goal is to do the splits.

Since I'm about as flexible as a breadstick, this is a huuuuuge challenge. I have posted my progress pictures to date below... although partway through the challenge I realised that the fancy protractor app I was using to measure my progress wasn't accurate (so you should probably ignore all the angle measurements!), which meant I had to revert back to a good old fashioned tape measure!
